Clean, unique design and the entire hotel was fragrant and beautiful! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. David and Ryan were very attentive and accommodating. I’m a local and I will be back for nice staycation!

The Truitt is a great place to stay! We loved the room and amenities such as the coffee and apples downstairs. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. I loved the decor and the very comfortable bed! The staff were friendly and helpful! I highly recommend this hotel in Kansas City, MO.

The property and room were beautiful, wonderfully decorated, and cozy. The managers were also quick to respond to any questions and were very friendly and helpful. The room had lovely furnishings and was well-stocked with delicious snacks and lovely toiletries. The house had several cozy and welcoming common spaces, including a beautiful outdoor seating area. I felt like I was in a private, serene retreat and would highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed the property and the location. There was a night where a couple was super loud around 2:30am. We had two sound machines going, and it still woke us up. I know that is part of an older building, not being very sound proof.

Gorgeously decorated old house. A bit funky as far as layout and room access but much character and meticulously cared for. The contactless check in, check out and no on-site staff at all is a different experience but not a deal-breaker. Would recommend the neighborhood highly for those who love walking and art (museum of art a short walk away)

Beautiful property within walking distance to the Nelson Atkin museum. The madeleines at the reception table is a yummy welcome to our stay and a lovely morning treat before we head out.

This property is very nice. Super quaint. Classy decor. It was very clean. Best hotel shower ever. The mattress was unbelievably comfortable. Ryan was very friendly and quick to reply to our questions. The hotel is located very close to anything you could need. I didn’t hear any noise from other guests. The only thing I missed was a comfortable chair in the room and a desk to work at either in my room or the common area.

You will be under the Truitt's spell when you enter the plant-filled porch with the pink, neon sign! Atmospheric music and fragrance set the mood to unwind in one of the shared lounge rooms, then on to your private bedroom and bath suite. It's a large, renovated house filled with curated furnishings, books, and textiles to make you feel pampered.

This place is so beautiful. A true escape with beauty and comfort. The bed is the best hotel bed I’ve ever stayed and the room is amazingly clean. Highly recommend will stay here from now on.

In the 2 bed unti we were not able to regulate the heat, which was not desireable when its 32 or less outside. The peoperry is not a traditional hotel but an old home coverted to have multiple rooms.

This property is beautiful! Our check in was easy. We walked into our room and it was just perfect. The bed was very comfortable and you truly feel like you are having a luxury stay. I happened to stumble upon this place and we are so pleased with our stay and will be back. If you are thinking of staying.. do! You won’t be disappointed. The attention to detail they have done on this property is amazing.

Such a cool property with an amazing laid back city vibe. I loved the decor and ohhhh, the bedding was so comfortable. I live in KC & booked this last minute to take in the Plaza lights ceremony. I lucked out with the top floor, two room suite & it was heavenly. I did not want to leave that Casper bed! I ate my complimentary Christopher Elbow chocolates and enjoyed my complimentary waters too! It was all just so lovely and I didn’t want to leave. Cozy bed, warm room, pretty shower & products - just all so dreamy.

BEST HOTEL EVER
My room in the carriage house was immaculately decorated, with gorgeous finishes and luxurious materials. Lights all had dimmers, which was great when I wound down for the night. The bed was ENORMOUS and SO comfortable. I loved having a tv with tons of streaming services, so even out of town, I had my comfort shows. The complimentary local chocolates were a really nice touch. Contactless check-in and check-out was super convenient and I felt very comfortable coming and going as I pleased. The neighborhood is also lovely—and safe—and very close to shopping, coffee shops, and art museums! Will 100000% stay here again. Thank you, Ryan and David!

I have caught a cold. The room and bathroom very chilly. The towels were very rough to use. Could use some fabric softener to help soften them up. Couldn’t ask staff for any assistance for the towels or heat. Other than that it would of been great.

It was very cozy and felt like home. The owners take pride in their boutique hotel. Great place to stay within walking distance to a great Italian restaurant. Would recommend if you are looking for a unique and different experience!

Queen room is very small. Disappointed with price of almost $300 for one night in such a small room compared to their other property, the Aida at which we stayed a few weeks ago. May go back to the Aida but not the Truitt.
