"I loved the unique character of this home. It was an experience on its own. Lack of communication on the passport submission as I thought I had finished it, but never got a code. It all got sorted in the end, but would have been nice to know earlier. Anyway, my kids loved the Japan experience this home offered"

"This charming inn is an excellent accommodation for families. With two bedrooms, our family of five enjoyed a comfortable and spacious stay. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of a second-floor bathroom, which meant we needed to descend to the ground floor each time we required restroom facilities. Despite this small drawback, the inn was otherwise exceptional and met all our needs perfectly."

"Alles war perfekt, es ist ein wunderschönes traditionell japanisches Haus aber keines wegs altmodisch, im gegenteil sehr Modern, jeder Raum ist Klimatisiert und alle ist gut durchdacht. Einziger Negativpunkt ist der Check in, wir standen 20 Minuten vor der verschlossenen Tür weil wir den Code nicht bekommen haben und dann musste die Kyoto steuer erst noch bezahlt werden."

"The small house was perfect for us (4 adults and one child) to go around Kyoto. There is a big supermarket and several restaurants in walking distance and a playground 20m away (you don’t hear the playground). Beside the local tax link not working, everything went very smooth!"

"Staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and comfortable. Giving us time and space but also available when needed. We incorporated dinner and breakfast which I highly recommend. Such a unique experience to stay in a matchiya. The place was absolutely stunning. "

"We stayed in Tokyo and Osaka prior to our stay here in Kyoto at Maeniiya Machiya Inn. Maeniiya Machiya Inn is a definite great place to stay and close to everything. Akemi (property owner) is a wealth of knowledge and gave a lot of tips and recommendations. Be sure to visit Sukemasa for dinner if you like Gyoza. It is very close and yummy for 1000yen! "とても素敵な京町家でした。0才児を連れていたのですが、とても快適に過ごすことができました。 12月半ばの滞在でした。 部屋が全て繋がっているので、暖まりにくいことも覚悟していましたが、エアコンやコタツのおかげで、温かく過ごすことができました。 ただ、キッチンの床とお風呂の床だけはとても冷たく、特にお風呂場は気合いが必要です… それでもぜひまたお世話になりたい、素敵なお宿でした。"
