"Our room was clean and very comfortable. We had an event at Paragon casino so it was great location for that. Staff was very friendly. We would stay here again"

"Come here frequently for the amenities (pool, play area, casino) but the rooms are average. Last stay it was an event night and the room we booked and paid for wasn't available. Got moved to a lesser room where there was no bed for the kids. Book a room for 4 with two double beds. Had to move and only had 1 bed. They brought a small roll away that fit one kid and had to have the other kid sleep on the floor. Not thrilled since I paid for an atrium double room. "

"I made this reservation approximately two months ago through Hotels.com. We arrived yesterday around 12:30 PM to check in, however, the office was locked and there was no staff on site. Since there was no one available to assist us, we left to have lunch and spend some time in town. During that time, I made multiple attempts to call, but received no answer. We returned to the property around 4:30 PM, and the office was still closed. We remained outside for approximately 45 minutes continuing to call the number listed on the website, again with no response. Fortunately, another guest arrived, and we asked how they were able to check in. They provided us with an alternate phone number. Had we not encountered them, we would not have had any way to access our guest house. Additionally, we selected this property specifically for the full bed and breakfast experience, including touring the plantation home and having breakfast the following morning. However, both the plantation home and breakfast area were locked. We were informed that if we happened to be present when the cleaning crew arrived, they might be able to unlock the home, which is not what we expected from our stay. There was breakfast. It was locked and had tables and chairs stacked inside. I brought my mother here to celebrate her 78th birthday, and unfortunately, this experience was disappointing and embarrassing, as I was the one who planned and booked this trip."

"Absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Clean rooms, and very comfortable beds. "

"Worst hotel stay ever. We only had one hand towel and one wash rag in our room. When I went down to the front desk to bath towels and more washrags I was told they ran out and there were none available! How is that possible! Went down for breakfast the next morning at 8am and they were out of almost everything. Again how. Staff said the issues were because they were booked full! How does that make sense? You know how many rooms you have and how many are booked so you should be prepared with enough towels for every room and enough food. And then there was the fact the rooms were not cleaned well. Former guests hair in the shower, etc. There were old stains in the carpet. The mustiness of the room had my allergies acting had my allergies acting up so much I couldn’t stand it - eyes watering, headache, etc. Because of these issues we check out a day early - Saturday morning. The lady at the desk told me she would email me a copy of my receipt. Still haven’t received it. And I was charged for the full two night stay. One thing I want to say positive is about the young man that was working the desk Friday night. He was really trying to do a good job dealing with a lot of guests issues. But they were things he couldn’t control and he was there by himself. But overall the worst hotel experience of my life - and I used to travel 85% of the year on business. Just very poor management and ownership. "
