"Room was clean & large, though it did need updating and modernization. The mattress was newer and comfortable to sleep on. The desk chair was showing considerable wear and tear. The mini fridge compressor rattled and needed to be unplugged at night to silence it."

"Rooms were extremely clean, balcony was nice, beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable! Having access to the outside hot tub first thing in the morning was a plus, there were leaves in it and the spider webs in the corners were an eye sore, but it was quiet and relaxing. Very quiet property!!"

"If you come prepared - eat a meal beforehand if arriving late in the evening, have a little extra food with you as the restaurant closes early (7:30pm) and opens somewhat later in the morning (8am) - the place is exquisite if you want a place with character and charm. Very well maintained as a part of the Oregon State Parks system, it is known as the oldest continuing hotel in the state having opened in 1883. It's very quiet - on my stay at least, it's apparent that all guests understand the value of almost complete silence during the evening and early morning hours. You could hear a breeze outside if there is one, although I did not try to open a window on my stay. The meals are reasonably priced and seem to be large portions. I will visit again just for the quiet and historic charm."

"The staff is always very nice here! Super friendly. Breakfast was really a nice spread of hot and cold items and was very good! The cook even came out to see if we needed anything and see if everything tasted ok. We were given the option of what floor we wanted so we chose the 4th since it's the newly renovated floor. Our lights didn't work above the sink so made it difficult for 2 females to get ready w/o that lighted mirror. We did tell the staff but nobody came to fix it the entire weekend we were there. I like that there is a frig and microwave. The property is very safe. I usually like to stay here when I'm in town and will continue to do so."
