"This is a no frills hotel, but we really enjoyed our stay. You can hear if you have a heavy walking upstairs neighbor, but throughout the night it was pretty quiet. There are great laundry facilities onsite that were super easy to use and you don’t have to buy detergent. You just download an app and pay and monitor progress through the app—it was great! "

"Such a fun stay. The room was cleaned each day of our stay and the amenities were so wonderful. Not a far walk from a train station and there were a handful of restaurants a short walk away. Staff was very quick and efficient with accommodations and requests and they thoroughly explained all the amenities they had to offer."

"Had a wonderful stay at the Miro Kyoto/Calm Castle Nijo Hotel. It's a small hotel located in a residential street. The family room is not as big as typical western rooms but has been the perfect size for me and my family. Try to pack light so you can have space and less of a hassle bringing luggage.
