"Another very pleasant stay at HGI while visiting to watch football. A very clean and comfortable room that would be on the pitch at the Stadium of Light if it was much closer! Very acceptable restaurant, but beware of inexperienced waiting staff who make up their answers to your queries without appearing to know what the correct answer is!"

"The lady on reception was lovely, her name Larysa and she upgraded my sister and I to a prestige room with dressing gowns, slippers, a king size bed, complimentary drinks in the fridge, chocolate cinder toffee and a coffee machine, lovely touches and thank you so much! "

"Receptionist was welcoming and helpful(half price parking so don’t pay before you check in) Room was ok - old premier inn? - for a budget hotel it’s ok, creaky floorboards and whoever was upstairs seemed to be practising their Cossack dancing but not the fault of the hotel. "

Only downsie was that somebody had forgotten to empy the bin in the room before I got there and I had to ask for the heating to be put on as the 1st night was very cold, it did go on late in the evening on the 2nd night so all goo, but overall nice place, spot on staff and will stay again! "
