"Good size room, helpful staff. Comfortable accommodations in the very nice town of Elgin. We selected Sunninghill for it’s proximity to speyside distilleries, but Elgin is worthy of of visit on its own with its enchanting ruined 13th century cathedral, a castle, the home of the luxury cashmere company Johnston’s of Elgin, and an easy drive to Inverness or the coast. Beautiful scenery in every direction. There are plenty of similar hotels and B and Bs throughout the area. Sunninghill is a solid choice, not a luxury experience but comfortable and friendly. The restaurant has decent fare and a broad menu. Breakfast is also available. Rooms could benefit from a bit more updating and a bit nicer amenities, for example a coffee maker instead of just instant coffee with a tea kettle. A few additional details would elevate the experience."
