"We are doing Rte 66, so a retro motel sounded like fun. This place went above fun and brought it up to relaxing and comfortable. Nice courtyard with fountain, seating, outdoor dining and a seasonal pool. The thought and planning than went into the renovation shows as bright as the neon light of its namesake. "Please don’t eat at the restaurant within the hotel… my son and I got sick that lasted for almost 24 hours… steak not fresh, margarita was watery and cheap liquor… not that cheap either… travel outside the hotel for food!"

"While the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, the unit and the surroundings are showing their age. It was perfect for our one-night stay, and served our purposes perfectly. The courtyard was very serene for sitting with coffee or an evening cocktail...or just reading a favorite book. (We were allowed to store our transportation in a safe location, which we deeply appreciated.)"

"The staff were very helpful when we decided to change hotels but I was shocked that the room rate jumped more than $50 a night. Then we were charged $7 a day to park in THEIR lot. When booked I saw no mention of this additional fee. When I contacted customer service they did graciously reverse the charge. The facility itself was very nice. My only complaint was financial."

"Room had a relatively fresh floor. The room wasn't super clean, but smelled like bleach when I got there and for the first few hours as I aired it out. Shower was poorly designed from a water flow perspective. AC worked well, but was quite loud as it kicked on(which it cycled on and off a lot)."

"The room was clean and well equipped with a fridge and microwave. Beds were comfortable. Sheets clean. This is NOT a 5 star property. It is a nice place to bed down after a long day on the road. The location is excellent. There are several eating places within easy walking distance. Easy on / off I-40. Neighborhood seemed ok. No gunshots!"

"This place is a little run down and sketchy but the staff is pretty great. More importantly, if your goal is to just get off the road because you're dead tired and need a place to sleep and won't break the bank... this is it. Was it the Ritz? Nope. Did it do its job of providing a clean bed and a place to shower? Yes."
