The rooms, the pool, the staff, the views...stunning. Yes, its a little tired in places but that adds to the charm. The property itself seems so private, with a personal entrance gate, walled-in villa (with amazing high ceilings that become musical during evening showers rain on the roof), and a lovely swimming pool. Owner/Manager Mr WIsnu and his team are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Reasonably priced breakfasts (ordered a day in advance), both western or Balinese, were delicious. "We stayed at White Cubes Villa and I would never stay here again. What they don’t tell you is that there is no car access to the villa. You get dropped off at a meeting point and then have to walk about 15 minutes on a mix of pavement and dirt trail, dragging your luggage the whole way. The villa itself just felt strange and unsafe – it’s the first place I’ve stayed in Bali where the door was secured with a literal padlock.
