"The standout at this hotel is their staff. Front desk, car valet, housekeeping, bar staff you name it all were excellent. The young female bartender was fantastic (side note to her - my daughter chose UBC:)) as was the housekeeper who was happy to smile and say hello. They don't have in-house restaurant - so might feel challenge for breakfast - lunch - dinner. But since property is situated right in the heart of downtown. So you will have lots of option to explore. Also you can order at helpdesk or delivery platform and you can get it delivered. US embassy also walkable distance along with all other tourist place. I enjoyed my stay with my family."

"Room was clean and very spacious. The staff are all pretty friendly, gave us a voucher for 2 glasses of wine for free which was unexpected but a really nice surprise! Gave us a chance to check out the rooftop bar. The room is so quiet, you can’t even tell you’re in the Byward market so we really enjoyed that. Valet was easy and really convenient as I didn’t have to worry about parking downtown. Close walk to everything. Would definitely stay again!!"

"Great value stay. Very comfortable, quiet, and clean for a suite. Happy Goat coffee shop in the lobby, too! Our only complaint was that the Chromecast was unusable as it had not been updated, so no smart tv functionality. Parking is somewhat sparce and in an alley of sorts behind the building, albeit well lit. Staff were great to this sorry Anglo, so we will certainly look for this place again next year!"

"The staff was great but other than the historical relevance, I found the Hotel underwhelming and the price point unjustified. I found a lack of respect for maintenance. Public bathroom smelled of urine. The lock on the stall door was broken and replaced with a cheap slide lock. I would have expected a higher level of concern for maintaining the integrity of the property. I’ve stayed in nicer hotels, with more amenities, exceptional service and a “Wow factor” that was missing from here....
