Construction is nearby, just close the windows and you’ll sleep in just fine. Staff is limited but very friendly and very helpful. My room was missing TP; so I call front desk. House phone unplugged! I replug the phone, and call front desk and within minutes I had TP. They use fabric softener in their bedsheets and towels; if you are allergic or fragrance...

Bath rooms, carpeting and furniture (vintage and in need of refinish) could use a bit of facelift, but overall the buildings are cute. It seems that every room is unique. The location is excellent - two blocks from Pier 21 and close to Dalhousie. Can be noisy if you open the windows (but who doesn't love operable windows?). Free parking in the back of the hotel was a plus."
