I took a little carriage ride across the street through the park, saw the Muckross house, saw some old buildings, had some great strolls, and had fun at the spa as well. "We absolutely loved our stay at Lake Hotel Killarney. Our room was wonderful, and the view of the lake was incredible—such a peaceful way to start and end the day. "Our stay at the Brehon was 10/10 - such a great venue to meet up with family. We had family members travel down from Cork to meet with us - the lobby has lots of sofas in front of beautiful fireplaces where we could gather. Then we had fabulous meals in the Bar restaurant. "

"We had a great stay, the house was a perfect base to cycle the gap. Definitely use the directions from the host, not from Expedia. "

"So this property is in bad need of a renovation. The carpets of the rooms looks like they’re from the 70s. Still, the doors are very old as well. The windows were rickity and there was construction next door with heavy machinery creating a lot of noise. In the end, we did not stay here. We did ask to cancel and for a refund, but we’ve heard nothing back from the management. My recommendation is find somewhere else to stay."
