"We booked an ocean view kitchenette room with a king sized bed. Had good views of both the beach and the bay. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the mattress leaned towards the firm side which was great for my husband's back. A/C worked well, the room was clean and spacious, and the kitchenette was useful so that we didn't have to eat out every meal (breakfast is not included here but available for purchase). There was a full sized fridge, dishwasher, two burners (no oven), bowls, plates, cups, and silverware as well as a coffee maker and toaster. We only had one small pot and pan in the drawer, but you can request other items as needed.
There are 2 towers, North and South, with the pool in between. If you want less of a walk from the parking garage as well as the beach, I would suggest asking for a room in the South tower.
Very convenient that they provide beach towels! Hyatt customers also get a discounted rate of $20/day on 2 beach chairs and an umbrella.
Lastly, we left our pupper with his grandparents, but this is a pet-friendly hotel. Keep in mind though that Clearwater Beach is not! I've been to several beaches where you could have your dogs on the beach before a certain time in the mornings and after 5 in the afternoons, but Clearwater is not one of them. Just something to keep in mind!"
