"The hotel itself is very well maintained. The Granddam is a bit overpriced for the food portions and the roof top restaurant turns into a club and plays loud, bass-heavy music until midnight so the higher the floor, the less sleep you will get. The shower is unique, only has a glass door to cover half the opening so it feels cold during your shower and there is no exhaust fan so the bahthroom is very humid with a foggy mirror. It also has tiles walls and with no exhaust fan, so everything that goes on in the bathroom is audible to the guests out in the room. I read that it was described as a "party" hotel in another review and I am inclined to agree except that it is a very expensive party. Valet parking is $25 extra and is taxed and only until after arriving did we see that there is a free lot across the street. There is also a variety of extra fees that are tacked onto your bill. It was nice but not worth what we paid for one night."
