"Overall, the hotel was okay for what we needed. The location was convenient for visiting the Everglades, which was a big plus. The beds were comfortable, and despite the air conditioning being pretty weak, it did keep the room comfortable enough — it just seemed to run constantly. There were a few downsides. The room had a noticeable moldy smell, and the shower curtain wasn’t installed correctly, so water ended up all over the bathroom floor after showering. Housekeeping never came during our 4-night stay, which was disappointing. Also worth noting there’s no actual breakfast, just a small grab-and-go option. About halfway through our stay, Everglades fires started directly across the street from the hotel. Obviously that is not the hotel’s fault, but the smoke and smell were intense and came right into the room through the air conditioning. What was frustrating was the complete lack of communication about it. Even just a quick acknowledgment or update from staff would have gone a long way. Not terrible for a short stay if you’re mainly using it as a base for exploring, but definitely could use some improvements."

"We had a wonderful stay at Reefhouse Resort & Marina in Key Largo! The property is beautiful, relaxing, and has the perfect Florida Keys atmosphere. The pool area, marina views, and sunsets were amazing, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and we loved being so close to great snorkeling, boating, and local restaurants. The tiki bar and waterfront setting really made the experience feel like a true getaway. If you’re looking for a laid-back resort with great amenities and a classic Keys vibe, I would definitely recommend Reefhouse Resort & Marina. We would absolutely stay again!"

"I wanted to wait before writing the review and honestly I wish I could rate it better - but I was left with a less than satisfactory opinion of Gilberts. The good - restaurant was very good, food we had was excellent and drinks were fairly priced for the Keys. The staff was very nice, especially Kevin and others we crossed paths with were great as well. The room was nicely sized and the bed was comfortable. The bad - there's a treatment plant at the end of the property that (depending on which way the breeze is blowing) - it stinks and is very noisy. It can make sitting outside the room impossible. The worst - the water pressure in our shower was the lowest I've ever experienced in 50+ years of travelling. I have walked through soaker hoses with more flow, it made getting rinsed - especially your hair, almost impossible."
