"A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. "Comfortable Hotel in a good location for doing stuff in and around Bristol, good facilities and very friendly/helpful staff. However, one bedside lamp was not working as the bulb had failed (reported but it was the weekend so no maintenance staff around), some of the tables in the restaurant were sticky and the fire alarm went off briefly one night at 03.30. I appreciate false alarms happen but the was no acknowledgement of the issue at checkout the next morning, even though nobody could have...
