"Beautiful Castle! Stayed at the Lodges and was very impressed! The Spa is a must to do here!"

"It is difficult to fault Kilkea Castle as every aspect of the property impressed. The little things therefore matter and small faults in maintenance, which should be dealt with in a luxury property, tend to stand out more. However, that is digging into the fine detail. So, first impressions carried through from first stepping inside with a warm welcome, the engaging housekeeping staff and superbly professional dining/breakfast room staff. On site activities are a nice touch and worth looking at....

"Lovely stay at lord Beganals. The property is fabulous tastefully decorated and beautiful fresh flowers in the lobby. Staff are very friendly special mention to Karen and Kay breakfast team !! Food in restaurant also delicious and freshly prepared very efficient even though it was very busy Sleepy little village with lovely walk along the river If you want to make this place even more special consider adding a spa or pool. No matter we’ll be back 💚"

"Room very dark due to poor lighting. Had chicken red Thai curry in the restaurant however there was large chucks of aubergine which were quite bitter. I have never had a Thai dish with that and wasn’t expecting it. There was an odour from the floor too which wasn’t pleasant. "

I loved that they served the hot breakfast to your table and the food both dinner in the bar and breakfast In the restaurant were piping hot and delicious. Bedroom was spacious. Warm and comfortable. "My only complaint would be the 25e charge for the hydrotherapy. I have stayed at many comparable properties that do not charge for hotel guests. It was lovely however and we enjoyed it very much. "
