"We loved our stay here recently. Lobby and public spaces are clean and updated and all staff were SO helpful! I booked the “family room” and loved it!! I was confused at booking because it only said 2 twin beds but it actually came with one double bed and 3 twin beds!!! I would suggest fixing that detail for others booking. "This is a gem of a find. Beautifully fitted out and managed with exceptional care. The facilities in the room and common parts are simply great and nothing was too much trouble. Mitchelstown has much to offer but Birdies is above and beyond."

"My dad couldn’t stop raving about this place. He loved the build of the lodge hotel. Our toilet wasn’t working properly, and the manager came late at night to give us an upgrade. Such friendly staff, and Nelligan’s has a delicious menu!"

"Great location and lovely staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable EXCEPT that the room was stiflingly hot. Not warm. HOT. We had two portable fans blowing all the time, which made it tolerable for sleeping. I understand that the weather in Ireland is unusually warm and not the hotel’s fault but damn. 15 degrees cooler in the hallway The restaurant has delicious food and the breakfast was plentiful and inexpensive. Will try here again in the fall or spring"

"My family of 4 had a Family Room at the Savoy and it was perfect. Two twin beds and a king. Plenty of room. A big bathroom, tables to put all our bags on and very comfortable beds. It also had a great bar downstairs and convenient parking at the car park across the street that was discounted. Absolutely loved the Savoy!"

"The room was clean but it wasn't prepare for our arrival. The check-in proccess was a mess, the reservation was not registered and there was no one to help. We called the campus security who went quickly but didn't have the information as he didn't received it from the reception staff. The location was far from the bus stops, so the walking was very long and heavy considering the luggage."
