"We were surprised and quite disappointed especially since the facility was advertised on expedia as a hotel, on getting there, we got a motel. We paid for hotel services on expedia but got a motel. The rooms we stayed in were not as displayed in the pictures."

Cobwebs and dust hanging from windows, ceilings and fan was an eyesore. In the accommodation folder says bacon, eggs and yogurts were supplied for breakfast, no yoghurts, and weren’t expecting Aldi packaged sliced ham instead of bacon and Aldi prima’s. "It’s very dated and gives domitory style accommodation. Walls are very thin and I could hear everything in the next room and corridor. I could hear a man in an adjuscent room snore the whole night. Staff are not available onsight after-hours. I had to walk a very long way from my room to get hot water/tea and use the microwave which is in the common room, because the taps closest to me were broken. My room was full of ants and the bathroom tiles are brown with stains. Bed not so comfortable but...

"We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony. The unit was very clean and we had all the necessary amenities to use that made for a comfortable stay. Full kitchen, living room with TV and Foxtel, balcony etc. The unit is handy for the local shopping mall and train station to the city. It is also a good gateway to Puffing Billy, Healesville and the Yarra Valley by car. We checked in and out outside of normal reception time and it was a very easy process with great instructions. "We had a wonderful stay at Yarra Valley Lodge and couldn't have been more impressed. The property is set amongst beautiful natural surroundings, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that feels like a true escape from the city. The spacious room was spotless, comfortable, and offered lovely views of the gardens and estate. The lodge is located on a large estate near the gateway to the Yarra Valley wine region, making it an ideal base for exploring the area."
