"There was a virtual check in machine that was a terrible experience. I couldn’t hear what the screen was saying, the volume was too low and the person (?) on the screen could not make the volume louder. The lobby door was locked so I couldn’t access an actual live person. When a human came to assist the experience improved exponentially! The person was kind, friendly and helpful."

"The staff was so helpful. We hit bad weather and are travel was delayed and Expedia system canceled out room after 11pm. When we called to verify travel (due to weather) was delayed. We literally had no room to sleep and the staff figured out for us."

"Hotel was situated in a good stop. Close drive to Robert Treman State Park. You can walk to Buttermilk State Park. Close drive to Watkins Glen Falls State Park. Close to Cornell Botanical Gardens and Ithaca town. Rooms were clean, staff were helpful. Breakfast was good. Just thought it was silly that they charged $4.17 plus tax for parking. Overall my stay was good."

"Unclean. Thought I was getting a one bedroom suite, there is only one room with a foldout. Breakfast is awful, tasteless eggs, stale fruit, leave juice out for hours so it doesn't stay cold. Constant problems with room key. Stay away."

"Front desk staff was nice but not conversational. Bar food took over 45 minutes only to find out cook was missing in action. Room not maintained well: Buttons missing from A/C, ironing board broken & bathroom door sticks. No mirror in bedroom, no full length mirror & bathroom window needs a shade since it lets light into the bedroom. We never received housekeeping service one of the two nights we were there. This hotel has a brand new manager so hopefully they will improve the guest experience."

"Charming property with delightful rooms. Victorian decor and old world charm. Staff was friendly. No elevator but stairs to second floor were manageable. Beautiful view from 3 sides in the Garden room. Location was convenient to walk to the falls. Bright dining room. Had an excellent dinner and continental breakfast. It was impossible to call the front desk as the phone did not work. We had to use our cell phone and call through the 800 number. Finally, around 12:30 it quieted down. "This is one of those local places that offered exactly what I needed for a fantastic price. In fact, the standard king size bed was a wonderful plus for me. The room was comfortable, welcoming and perfect. The staff member I spoke to the most was just so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was really a nice continental breakfast with coffee offering and was consistently good. I will recommend this to others who may travel that way.
