"The room and facilities were good though the bathroom has a window grill open to outside so was freezing cold at night, to cold to stay in for a shower etc. We ate at the restaurant, the steak was amazing, perfectly cooked but and they didn't deliver to the table any of the sides we had ordered so we had steaks, no potatos, no veggies, and some how we were charged $29 for what we are pretty sure was a $17 glass of wine. "Due to heavy bookings for UTA event we stayed in a twin room the first night booked direct with motel it was OK for 2 adults 1 teen but we found the second night much better, same sort of facilities but just extra space (this Expedia booking). Rooms were right next to each other but we had to check out 10am check back in at 2pm. The owner was encouraging us to stay in the smaller room but not willing to reduce the cost to cover price difference (approx $60) so we went with our original...

"Adorable BnB-style property in the Blue Mountains! The staff were so friendly and the rooms comfortable and cozy (especially loved the soaking tub after a long day). It's an easy 10-minute walk to the train station, town, and nearby hiking trails. Breakfast was great, and the views from the lounge and restaurant were absolutely perfect. Loved the fun Christmas in July decorations they had up too — such a nice touch. Highly recommend staying here!"

"Historic hotel is well located between Katoomba and Blackheath so very easy drive to many sites. Due to age of hotel rooms a little small but functional, the decor even older was well maintained and cosy. Only cons room had to be cleaned again before we accepted it, however the management reacted well and solved the problem. Staff friendly however suggest a bit of training in customer service will work to help make this hotel even better. Overall would recommend this hotel."

Only downside I didn't realise how close it was to the train line, could hear them passing by at night which took a while to get used to before falling asleep. "We have been going here for many years always have felt comfortable and looked after. the 1st room we had was a bit shabby seemed to be in the young families area. the floor of the bathroom needed a lot of deep cleaning. the lounge was worn out and needed replacing. We were moved to another room because I found the shower in the bath hard to get up to. the staff were fantastic at helping this happen. "Advertised as having a bar & restaurant... in truth there is a little corner with wine & beer for sale, but no staff to serve you. Restaurant is actually a dining room where the have the minimalist breakfast that have ever seen for an expensive hotel. You can't drink byo drinks out in the common areas near the fireplaces, so forced to sit on the bed in a cramped, so called " deluxe king " room. Couldn't even put my suitcase anywhere and was tripping over our items. Window isn't made air...
