"I would give Marriott’s Timber Lodge an overall rating of 3 out of 5 stars. The best parts of the stay were the location, cleanliness, and staff service. The hotel is in a great central area with easy access to shops, restaurants, and nearby attractions, and it is not far from the lake. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff members were helpful and professional whenever assistance was needed, which was definitely a highlight of the stay. The pool was warm and enjoyable, and the jacuzzi area was a nice amenity for relaxing after the day.
The downsides were mostly related to value, convenience, and room issues. The room was expensive for what was advertised as a luxury stay, but it felt more like a standard room. It was located far from the lobby on the fourth floor in the back section of the property, which made getting to and from the room inconvenient. The hallway and room area also felt poorly ventilated, with heavy air that made it uncomfortable at times. Inside the room, the bathroom door lock was broken, the TV had no remote at first, and the television was unplugged. Another disappointment was that no breakfast was included or available in the morning, which would have added more value to the stay. While the pool and jacuzzi were nice, several jacuzzis were under maintenance during the stay, leaving only a few available. Parking was another major drawback, since valet was the main option at a high daily cost. Had to use public parking area."
