"The hotel and staff were excellent. The breakfast was very good. The management team could not do enough for us. My only (very minor) criticism was the stirrer for the tea. One needs a spoon, particularly to remove a teabag, not a slender and flimsy piece of wood. Otherwise 10 out of 10."

"The problem was that this isn't a hotel, it is a bed and breakfast with a couple of bedrooms. When I arrived just after 3pm there was nobody there. The owner (who was a pleasant man) normally did not accept arrivals until 4pm. Also, it is located on the oldest street in town, a very, very steep heavily cobbled street only accessible on foot. It us very pretty but difficult to access with luggage. Having said that it is very pretty and my room was quaint but good."

"We had a wonderful time at the hôtel. The staff was great especially the manager, Cosmo. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed; even going so far as to ensure no one took our parking space after a day of touring. We would definitely recommend. Many restaurants and shops were within walking distance. Opening/closing hours were hard to manage. "

On s'est fait réprimander par la patronne, parce que nous avons osés demander une bière fraiche !! Repas pas terrible pour le prix et pour un "traiteur" "

"This was a wonderful stay in a beautiful building and grounds. We stayed in ‘The Princess’s Room’ which is glorious. Full length embroidered silk curtains and lovely feature detailing. It is not the room to choose if you want a ‘normal’ easy access shower; it’s original 1920’s fittings are a very large enamel bath (good for two) and a hand held only shower head.
