"We booked having no clue about North Myrtle Beach or the area, and the gamble was worth it. While not a 5-star resort, the Avista has a great location and beach access and close enough to restaurants and attractions to make it worth it. I would recommend one of the ocean front rooms higher up the building (greater than floor 8)."

"1. Bed advertized as queen, was a double, Queen would not fit in the bedroom. 2. Advertized to sleep 4, but accommodated only 2. 3. Housekeeping changed the bedding but no other house keeping was done. 4. dirt and dust all over the floor. 5. Crumbs, bacon crumbs and fresh onion slices and other food littering the floor. 6. Broom and dust pan left in the TV area so we cleaned the floor. 7. TVs worked but only flashing to each channel coud one see what show was on. 8. Filthy dirty microwave. 9....

"The good thing about the property is that it's right on Ocean boulevard and it overlooks the beach. So we had a room with a balcony and of course waking up to the oceans. You in the morning is fantastic. The building is kind of run down. And not at all what it look like when I booked it. I think it's good if you have little kids because they have a saltwater pool and they're right on the beach and it's near a lot of things in North Myrtle Beach."

"The home was located in a nice peaceful neighborhood. It was close to many stores and restaurants. The cleanliness of the home was very nice, all amenities provided were greatly appreciated and better than expected. I would love to rent this property again if it's available when we come back to Myrtle Beach."

"Location is excellent. Walk from your door to the beach in minutes. Property is definitely dated. But, effort has clearly been made to improve it. New balcony had been installed. Appeared to have newer paint, linens, and appliances. Property was perfectly clean when we arrived. My complaints are minor, and most didnt effect our stay in too negative of a way. The door lock on dishwasher would not latch, so couldnt use dishwasher. (Simple fix, but i didnt have any tools and im on vacation). ...
