"Great staff at reception staff, teeny tiny elevator and stairs are even smaller and quite dark. Firm bed, large room with a view of the back neighborhood. Bathroom ok - shower in the tub thin towels, no magnifying mirror. Bottled water ( refillable) available at no charge from reception. Super close to train station! "

"Very clean, comfortable hotel. Quiet room, comfortable bed. No extras but was still comfy. Quite small but fine for what we needed. First reception person was ok. But not very helpful. We arrived an hour early and she wanted to charge us 50 euros to check in early. The second reception person was lovely literally 30 minutes later. Checked us in no problem. Coffee machine in the lobby was not working. Apparently you could get coffee on another level but we didn’t try as we did not buy breakfast....

"Very clean, very interesting and comfortable accommodations. Staff were excellent, room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was wonderful. This property is one of a kind, with a very eclectic and artistic vibe. This might not be everyone's thing, but I thought it was fantastic!!"

Enige was dat, de nummers van de huisjes iets duidelijker mogen worden weergegeven, was best een zoektocht. Maar dat was ook wel weer leuk. Zeer schone appartementen en behulpzaam personeel. "

"If you have issue with stairs it may be a problem. No elevators. Only talked to an attendant with whats app, you mat have a problem if you don't have the app. It ia close to the train station, about 5-10 minutes. A lot of stores and restaurants near by. I do worn you becareful of the shower, it is extremely slippery. "

"Een dame achter de receptie was buitengewoon onvriendelijk gedurende ons verblijf. Het hotel wordt verbouwd en het restaurant is daarom in de ontbijtzaal. Weinig sfeer daardoor. We wilden roomservice op de 2e dag en dat kon blijkbaar niet. Helaas stond dat nergens en werd dit zeer onvriendelijk via de telefoon medegedeeld. We konden dan wel iets laten bezorgen. Communicatie kon beter. We konden ook in het restaurant bestellen en dat zelf ophalen, maar daar moesten we zelf achter komen. Er werd...

"We really enjoyed our stay at 1898 The Post. We stayed in a "Postcard" room, which was small but comfortable and very charmingly decorated. I don't know if all the Postcard rooms are laid out the same way, but ours had the shower/bathroom sink in an upstairs loft area, and the toilet in a separate small closet downstairs near the bed and desk. This was not a problem for us, but might be for others who have difficulty with stairs. Very convenient location near the Gravensteen Castle. We didn't...
