Burn Hall Hotel

"The bedroom was clean and well equipped. I would have liked a comfortable chair to sit in rather than hard backed dining chairs however, this did not impact on my stay, only the ability to knit. We had dinner in the dining room, serviced by fantastic staff. The food was amazing, both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was buffet style, we would have like fried eggs as opposed to scrambled and neither of us liked the sausages, otherwise enjoyable. We did not use the bar so can’t comment. The hotel location is beautiful, the grounds well maintained. We would consider using the hotel again in the future"

"Took my dad for a few nights and he loved his room and walk in shower. We had the executive lounge which was great and all staffs from reception to working in there and restaurant were friendly and so helpful. Only thing I would change is the lighting in the main restaurant for breakfast - too dark and cannot see daylight. Everything else was great. Second visit there."

"Lovely hotel with good facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. I traveled to York by train, so the location of this hotel next to the station was perfect for me. I would definitely stay at this hotel again."

"This was a nice place to stay for a night in York. It is about a 10 minute walk to the train station, and a quick walk across the river to the heart of town. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walk. The room was good sized and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Very good full English breakfast buffet. The only issue was that it didn't have AC and the room got very hot. We could open a window which worked nicely, but on the other side of the river is a night club that was very loud, so we couldn't keep the window open because of the noise. All we had to cool us off was a fan which worked ok, but not great. It was a Friday night, so that was probably worse than other nights with the noise. It was still a nice place."

"2 night stay Perfect location just up the hill from the river and mother shiptons cave. Rooms clean and comfortable. Great opt out off room clean and free drinks a plus. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Buffet breakfast nice but not everyone's taste. Good choice of menu, for lunch and dinner, food nice but could do with more flavour. We would definatley stay again."
