Beautiful location with an exclusive feel. Bungalow 5 offered a fantastic vista. Everybody working on site was happy, welcoming and friendly (including Coco, Oreo, Lazy and Day the dogs (maybe that's just Thailand)). The breakfast was lovely, fluffiest pancakes I've ever had! Stayed in the bungalows above the mangrove. There are also luxury bungalows in the grounds with AC. A beautiful location with amazing gardens and located within a fascinating fishing village. Great food and staff although there is also a small coffee shop nearby that has an English menu for food + tower ice creams. Pity about the aggressive barking dogs, but they're everywhere in Thailand.

Shantaa is the most peaceful place i have been in thailand - its very private and even when the resort is fully booked it seems like there is four of five times more space than required. This makes it very special and magical - the staff are excellent and the food is also great ! Beds are super comfortable and the servive is perfect . Shantaa is a perfect place for people who are looking to escape life and find true tranquility for a moment - be careful though you might never want to leave !!

The sea view villas are very quiet and private, though the sea view is somewhat blocked by trees, and there is no sand so don't expect a beach view. Still a pretty setting beside the ocean, nice for relaxing. Minimalistic style rooms, well layed out and have everything you need. Excellent service, especially in the restaurant and the breakfasts are delicious and beautifully presented. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend, especially for couples.

A good hotel that won't disappoint in a secluded location on a quiet paradise island. The rooms are finished to a high standard. To explore the island we definitely recommend taking the scooters We had the family villa with 5 adults. The extra bed was a mattress on the floor. A better extra bed, maybe a rollaway bed would be appreciated. Also the housekeeping staff did not make this bed each day which was strange.

Room is very cute and tiny,plz don’t stay in the room! The environment of hotel is the best in kho kut. Hotel private beach is very clean and quiet,I also visited other beach but it was very crowded. The staff are just like ur friends ,food is very good ,also like the cocktails there. definitely will visit next time!

Great stay at the Mercure, if you're looking for a relaxed, quiet and peaceful environment, this is your place. Rooms are large, bright and support clean. Staff is very welcoming, helpful and polite from the receptionists to the cleaners all the way to the parking attendant. There are two pools, we booked a room with terasse giving into a "private" mini pool going into a bigger pool. Extremely pleasant to have this literally at your door step. The owners of this resort are very friendly and offer a great service. They helped out with booking trips, taxis etc. One evening we all went together with other guests in the resort for dinner and was a great night. The breakfasts are also great. The rooms were clean. Absolutely no insects or bugs during my stay of 7 nights. Scooters available for rent at the resort which is always handy. Cant find any issues. Location is ideal, on a beautiful bay/beach. Short walk to restaurants and bars (low key). We had a beachfront villa- highly recommended. The villas are well equipped with a huge shower but are a bit tired around the edges (as it seems a lot of resorts are in Koh Kood). The staff are excellent and very helpful. This is an absolutely beautiful location within the island of koh mak. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly. The lady at reception (i forgot to ask her name ...sorry) was very funny and made us laugh lots throughout our stay. She helped us with any requests that we had. Also the food and drinks in the restaurant was delicious. The sunrise is a beautiful sight from the pier. It is such a peaceful and calm environment . I highly recommend this resort to anyone .
