  • This is a lovely beach to relax and swim at. Kantiang beach is definitely one of the cleanest beaches that we have seen in Thailand. We were fortunate enough to see why the beach was so clean. The local workers from the Pimalai Resort and Spa spent sometime from work cleaning up the beach. I wish other locals and hotels would do the same to help the pollution issues that the beaches and seas are facing here in Thailand as well as around the world. It also looked like a great team building experience. You can find this beach on the way to the Southern most point of Ko Lanta.

Great value for our money, very pleased

Very good, extended from 4 nights to total of 8 nights. Good service, helped us book day-trips, laundry service was good, nice clean room with everything working as expected. Beautiful view of the sunset and Ko Lanta’s best breakfast place ”Tuesday morning” restaurant right across the street.

The hotel is located on a very noisy corner. Constant motorbikes. We requested a quiet room but our room was located the end closest to the road. Maybe the other end would have been better. The free parking was in an area of wasteland adjacent. This was ok for us but after some rain someone did have difficulty vacating it. The Hotel was opposite two restaurants. We ate in Tuesday Morning and had a very good meal with lovely view across the beach.

Multiple ocean views from the room, and private balcony with Ocean View. I like the proximity to restaurants, but there are only two of them, and one of them was closed. It's a very long walk to the closest small town. Not easy to get a taxi there, and very expensive, so best if you have a car. But the hotel is an outstanding value for the money !

Lugnt, prisvärt boende med fin utsikt

Rymligt och bra säng. Fin utsikt över havet och vid solnedgång. Bra med egen balkong/terrass. Större skåp där bagage kan förvaras. Bra att det fanns engelskspråkiga TV-kanaler. Trevligt bemötande. Vattenkokare, gratis neskaffe, byte av badlakan varje dag. Kylskåp och vatten på flaska varje dag. Bra wifi förutom då vi skulle åka, men det var anmält och skulle åtgärdas. Kommer gärna hit igen. Två mindre restauranger över gatan. 5-10 min med scouter till 7/11, några mindre butiker, restauranger och fina/lugna stränder. Vid hotellet finns mindre strand, delvis med klippor. Visst slitage i dusch/WC kan antydas. Varmt på rummet när AC:n inte är på. Tar lite tid innan rummet når lägre temp.

Gute Wahl, ein kleines Stück ausserhalb.

Das Hotel ist recht schön und wirkt beinahe neu (Dez 2018). Es ist ein modernes Betongebäude, kein Holzbau. Übermäßigen Luxus darf man zwar nicht erwarten, aber es ist sauber (gelegentliche ‚Hausgäste‘ aller Art muss man aber so nah am Dschungel in Kauf nehmen, nicht nur hier...), mit genug Platz, großem Bett, Kühlschrank etc. Bad sauber mit warmem Wasser. Auf Wunsch wird täglich das Zimmer gemacht. Der Balkon im OG ist sehr klein - im EG gibt es etwas größere Terrassen. Das Hotel ist ein Stück weit von den meisten ‚Attraktionen‘ entfernt. Zu Fuss spaziert man entspannt 20 min nach Kantiang Bay, mit dem Roller (im Hotel günstig zu mieten) braucht man kaum 5 min. Es gibt einen Strand ganz nah am Hotel, der aber sehr steinig/felsig ist. Ein besonderes Highlight war für uns aber das Café/Restaurant direkt gegenüber (Tuesday morning). Wahnsinnig gemütlich, super Blick aufs Meer, tolles Essen (der French Toast mit Früchten zb), unheimlich freundliche Leute. Man kann da nicht nur toll frühstücken (im Hotel ja nicht) sondern bequem den halben Tag verbringen. ;) Das „The Sea @ Lanta“ ist durchaus empfehlenswert. Zurück kommen würde ich v.a. wegen dem Café. ;)

CLEAN, comfortable and very affordable

We loved this hotel so much that we re-arranged our travel plans to be able to stay a few extra nights! The rooms have a modern interior and are spacious, comfortable (great AC) and VERY CLEAN with a beautiful view over the sea and amazing sunsets. Across the street there's a small beach as well as the fantastic café ”Tuesday morning” serving delicious breakfast meals. Kantiang Bay beach is easily reached by 10 minutes walking or a very short tuc-tuc ride. The staff is super friendly and helpful – one evening when there was a power outage the guy at the front desk even took his own motorbike and drove us where we had to go. They also arranged all our tours and transfers, took care of our laundry and helped us out with a late night food delivery. All in all we are super pleased with this hotel and highly recommend it!

Lugnt område och bra standard. Skön säng och bra wc/dusch. Trevlig personal i receptionen med goda kunskaper i engelska. Bra wifi och fin utsikt mot vattnet, dock ej bra badmöjligheter. Fanns en trevligt liten restaurang och en liten minimarket. Har man scooter/moped är hotellet ett mycket bra alternativ. Renare balkongmöbler och/eller lite mindre vore ett önskemål.

Snyggt relativt nybyggt hotell. Rummen var riktigt fina och rena. Jag saknade värdeförändringsskåp på rummet. De i receptionen kunde inte bra engelska. Var ganska svårt att bli förstådd eller fröstå dem. Inga frukostmöjligheter på hotellet. Men finns en trevlig restaurang över vägen med bra frukost.

Decent hotel for the price; quiet location

We stayed for 5 night at and had a fine experience overall. The bed was comfortable and firm, the sea view was lovely, and the place was clean. There are two delicious dining options across the street for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Tuesday Morning for breakfast, and Kantiang Restaurant for lunch/dinner). There’s a small family run convenience store next to those, but for an atm you have to drive 5 min north to the 7/11. The tv didn’t seem to have any channels to access, which we were fine with since we weren’t there to watch t.v., but it was something overlooked by the hotel. There didn’t seem to be any daily cleaning service for the room, which we were a bit surprised by, but not a deal breaker. Location is on a quiet natural beach that great for walking alongside to ponder the seas. A 5 minute scooter ride (rentable from the hotel at 250 baht/day) will bring you into the main Kanttiang area with a 7/11 and many shops and the beautiful Kantiang beach. I don’t recommend Walking to Kantiang, especially at night, because scooters and cars tend to zip on that road.

Clean comfortable hotel

Really enjoyed our stay at Sea at Lanta, found it a really cozy comfortable and clean room and loved the view and sunsets. Stayed 4 nights and would have liked to stay longer. There were no food places or shops open in the immediate area but it was only a 12-15minute walk down to Kantiang Bay (which is beautiful and good for swimming) where there are plenty of food places and shops including a 7/11. We enjoyed several nice meals at Kantiang Cuisine. We also walked up to noon bar which does the best cocktails with a stunning view.

Great find, stunning sunsets

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it, it was real value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful and some speak a fair amount of English. Our room was fairly spacious and very clean with tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have a view overlooking the sea - you get the most amazing sunsets. The hotel has 2 floors and each room has a small patio or balcony with seating and a small table. It is located away from the main tourist area which is what attracted us so a car or a scooter would be very beneficial. Most mornings we drove up to Banana beach at the very southern end of the island before it got too busy and the most we ever shared it with was 3 people!
