This hotel has helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds and linens, a decent shower, good breakfast selections, and a large parking area.
The bathrooms and a few areas of the exterior building are showing signs of their age, but nothing terrible.
The location of this property is fair to poor. The hotel is located in an older industrial area. At the back of the property, there are garbage and recycle vendors that start their days before 6 am. You do hear the noises from the trucks, at the back end of the hotel.
A few streets away there are several restaurants (fast food and sit down for service) as well as a grocery store that we were happy to find.
There is a Canes Chicken steps away from the hotel, which was convenient, especially later in the day, as you could just walk over and feel safe.
There is not a pool or a gathering area other than the breakfast room which had lights out after the breakfast hours, so I assumed it was not to be used.
This is not a hotel where you would have a place to hang out other than in your room.
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is 10 minutes from the San Diego airport."
