"Parking was fine, plenty of space. Hotel very dated and in need of updating. Room odd!!! Massive pillar type thing in middle of room which had a tv attached to it. Tv was too big for said pillar and caused an obstruction. Room was really cold on arrival and the remote for the heating didnt seem to work. Staff were quick to rectify this for us but it didnt get much warmer. We didnt have breakfast so cant comment on that. Overall, i wouldnt stay again unless we were attending another event hosted by the hotel"

"I was surprised to find out that you had to pay £5per day for using there car park even if you were staying or visiting hotel also the room don’t have usb sockets in the room so make sure you bring a plug. I am a diabetic and needed to keep injection in a fridge over the weekend guess what? No fridge in the room, you only get two English tea bags in the room and enough milk in the room for two cups of tea the room, the second day we got more milk but no more tea bags, for the price you pay for staying at the hotel you would expect the thing’s above to be part of the booking. "

"We have stayed here quite a few times now, our welcome is usually happy and warm, this time the member of staff was cold and uninterested. We are members, our account was not linked, we have never paid for parking in the past, this time it was demanded (however, on our astonishment the member of staff removed the charge) this is a stealth charge, a huge carpark out of the city centre should not be chargeable for hotel guests, this is disgusting! We normally love this hotel because it has easy uber links to the centre whilst still providing country walks, the staff are usually extrememly welcoming and interested in making your stay fantastic this time it felt flat and uneasy on arrival. Our room was as usual, and fairly clean however, the major fail of our stay this time was the duvet and cover, the duvet was miles too small for the cover this meant my husband was covered but i was covered only by the duvet cover not the duvet, i did not sleep. I reported this to the front desk on departure she said that they are available 24 hours, i said that in the middle of the night this would not have been an option, she offered a drink, we were leaving for a walk, it would not have been an appropriate resolve, i declined. Breakfast was good and extensive we really enjoyed this as usual. We are staying again in July and bringing my parents for birthday celebrations, i really hope we have the experiences we have been used to in the past, a warm welcome and a comfortable nights sleep."

"Absolutely stunning property with beautiful grounds and facilities. Food was extremely high standard and all staff very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The spa is stunning and offeres everything you need. Little slice of heaven"

"Friendly welcome, check-in desk in an awkward place, feel like your in the way of the bar staff or customers queuing the bar. Causing an obstruction with suitcases for someone wherever you stand. Room spacious and clean, plenty of tea, cofee milk etc provided. Had dinner, which was good and even had a go at the quiz! Breakfast the following morning was ok. There seemed to be some sort of staff meeting going on at one part of the dining room, and so there wasnt much instruction on what to do with regards helping yourself to tea or coffee etc, or care taken to provide much of a service, ordered at the bar, i had an omelette and it tasted a bit burnt in places. Server looked like she was the only one working and hence why maybe she didnt look happy to be there, but she wasnt rude at least. "
