"This was a nice hotel, not a great hotel. It is located in a perfect spot, on the bay and next to the Old Town, making access to restaurants, bars, and shopping convenient. The redecorated rooms are nice, but they are VERY small and the amenities provided are few. This detracts from the excellent location of the hotel; we would probable not stay there again."

"Cleanliness - there were two showers, one of which had a concerning white growing in spot in the corner
Staff - I did not receive instructions regarding check-in in advance of the reservation. I had to proactively reach out the day of and did not receive key retrieval information until a few hours before our reservation. "The accommodation is right at the heart of old town walking distance to everything we needed. Beatrice on reception was a delight and made us fell so welcome. Claudia looked out for us when we had a bit of a mix up entering the property going above and beyond to make sure myself and my daughter were ok. I will treasure my time in San Sebastián and can’t wait to revisit. NB the location is noisy as it is so near to everything but it is just life and I did not mind it at all x"

"15/10 for location, but the rest was very basic at best. There were at least 9 staying while we were there and only 2 bathrooms, each containing a toilet but no separate toilets! We had to wait nearly 2 hours to use the bathroom in the morning!
It is hostel accommodation at apartment rental prices.
Belle Epoche is a very euphemistic name for the type of accommodation offered"
