"The staff were excellent, attentive, and very helpful, especially with arranging local tours. The half-day backwaters boat tour was a highlight and highly recommended, and the resort grounds were lovely and quiet.
The main disappointment was the Alleppey tour, as we were not told in advance that the coir factory, museum, and palace were closed on Monday, which made the long drive less worthwhile. The driver, however, was excellent. The rooms also felt tired and in need of an upgrade, with some...

"This is a fantastic homestay location, and called "resort hotel in Thumboly" by some of the local auto drivers. I booked this on an impulse travel through hotels dot com website and fully enjoyed my stay.
The owner (Mr. George) and the manager Mr. Shibu were prompt with communication and helpful. Mr. Shibu spoke to the auto driver via my phone call and guided him correctly. Google maps does a solid job too.
Location is about 4ish km from Alappuzha railway station and about 2km from main...

"We had a really poor experience…
1) The bathrooms and washing areas were smelling bad / extremely unclean… the taps were all fully dark and rusty
2) very salty water provided for all washing / bathing.
3) extremely un-friendly staff who were showing absolutely no interest in the welfare of the guests.
4) It was extremely hot during day time, so we asked them to switch on the AC and they said AC will be available only from 9pm.
5) We bought some expensive prawns from the shop they took as to ,...

"Stayed there with my family of 3 on NY eve last year. The property was well maintained. While we didn’t get to try all the amenities due to the NY eve rush, the complimentary boat ride on the lake Vemnad was amazing (I would highly recommend to book in advance as it fills our fast). Food was ok. I would recommend this place who wants a quiet, family friendly place in Allepey. "
