"I chose this hotel because it was close to the station and very reasonable, but I couldn't stand the fact that the room was dirty and there were a lot of insects, and sometimes the shower water didn't come out at all. The atmosphere around the hotel was also dangerous. The cost performance was not bad, but it was a little harsh."

"lol Elegance? Don’t be fooled. The pictures tell a decent story, but our room was run down, the option for our 13 year old was a dusty matress. Sure, it was $60nzd per night, but the drilling from the building next door, the concrete dust, the smoke and the mess, I’d have paid a maximum of $30. Staff were making furniture in the lobby, clever for sure - I couldn’t make a sofa from scratch, but honestly, do that somewhere else! "Super cheap and super basic. Situated In a relatively grim alley, hotel is made up of rooms without external windows set around an internal hall over several floors, feels a bit like a Victorian prison!
Still, guy in charge was helpful and spoke good English. It seemed clean, and bed was comfortable enough. For the few hours I spent here in the afternoon waiting for a night bus this did the job great.
Don’t book a two week vacation here though."
