Make sure to bring a converter for charging electronics. All-inclusive is a bit misleading at this resort. Only applies to certain items on the non-buffet menu and certain drinks/ alcohols. The resort is beautiful, clean, staff is friendly and helpful.

There aren't washcloths! The Plaza is located in an area with amazing snorkeling and scuba diving. Clean, quiet, spacious. Wonderful pool and beach access.

The things I loved about this facility: it was clean, a lot of fun games by the main snack bar to play, even during spring break, there was enough space to not feel like you had to rush for anything. Things I wish I knew in advance? It is NOT all inclusive. Some items and the pizza place are excluded unless you have the premium package (I had no idea there was an option for this), there is only ONE main restaurant, and it is only a buffet - they have a pizza place (super small seating space) and two snack bars. It was a lot of the same food for a week. If you left towels on a chair or bed and went to the beach for a while, they removed your items (especially in the morning) no where was it explained you could not reserve chairs or that you had to continuously check on your items. Good news was that there were always chairs available. They claimed to have snorkel gear for their guests, they do not have it readily available so bring your own. Also the beach is rocky so bring water shoes...Otherwise it was a very chill, pleasant, relaxing time.

The staff was wonderful. The room was a bit odd and not very enjoyable. The shower had no sides and the bathroom itself had no door. Needless to say it wasn't comfortable showering there. Robes would be nice as well as a refrigerator that included some snacks/drinks. The restaurant was very good and always fresh. Drinks were well made and easy to order.

Spectacular resort starting from the prompt responsiveness from Caroline and Vinita prior to the stay, and then onto the property and everything it offers. Exceptional food, friendly, helpful staff and all-round exceptional quality of the room. We got surprisingly upgraded to the penthouse as it is a very popular resort for guests seeking a high-class & elegant touch of service. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Bonaire, eyes closed, it’s the Van Der Valk Plaza ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our stay was pretty good. Staff were great and view was amazing. We stayed in an apartment which didn’t have utensils or cleaning pods for and washing machine. Water on frig did not work. No hand towels. No bottled water or any drinks in room. Food was great and the view during meals was amazing on the water. No night life at all. No music being played at pool during the day. The bar tenders were very slow but it was not bad. Construction still being done so walkways and noise of workers during the day. There was a pizza place on property which looked great but you had to pay for food and drinks. I would think if you were giving up the buffet dinner you should not be charging for the pizza and drinks. The atmosphere was amazing at night however nothing to do after. Very low key resort if you just like to relax and read a book by the pool.

The all inclusive amenities are fantastic. The food was delicious and lots of variety! I would only recommend one thing… evening activities. Like movie under the stars or night time swim. Will stay again!

I rarely leave reviews, but this was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room itself was extremely outdated and poorly maintained. From the moment we checked in, it was clear the property is not being kept to any reasonable standard. Fixtures were worn, the space felt neglected, and overall it did not reflect what you would expect from an all inclusive property. The situation with reservations made things significantly worse. We contacted the hotel immediately after realizing that one guest would not be able to arrive and therefore would not be using any of the all inclusive benefits. Despite reaching out right away, the reservations team was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to adjust the total or offer even a partial refund for five days of unused services. This level of inflexibility is unacceptable, especially when every other 4 to 5 star all inclusive hotel we have stayed at has been able to handle similar situations with basic customer care and professionalism. The property overall felt very poorly managed. There was ongoing construction without proper safety measures in place, creating both constant disturbance and real safety concerns. On top of that, we experienced a serious issue where there was a sharp piece of glass in a salad, which is completely unacceptable and dangerous. Between the outdated conditions, unprofessional management, lack of customer support from reservations, and safety issues, this stay was poor.

This property was beautiful, clean, easy to navigate, etc. but I feel like ppl read reviews to know what to avoid. Food wise, the all inclusive package wasn’t really worth it. It didn’t include premium liquors, only cheap house liquors, and was fairly limited to be considered all inclusive. They served the exact same food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Though many options, not many that I actually wanted. So I ate chicken, rice, and ice cream each night. I wish they switched up time to time. The room itself was great, but if you’re not an early bird be prepared to be woken up around 6-7a from all the noise of other guests, housekeeping, construction, etc. the walls are incredibly thin and I never got to sleep in. Housekeeping knocked very quietly and then barged in my room around 7:45-8am which is a very odd time to think I’d be gone. Especially since I didn’t have the “please clean my room” sign on my door. In addition, they never actually cleaned my room. They just folded the blanket back and fixed the pillows. Even left cleaning bottles on the sink and never replaced towels or water in the fridge.

This resort is Stunning and the diverse staff is AMAZING! The food was better than many all inclusive resorts we’ve stayed at it the past. We did our Scuba certification here as well and our Instructor Steve was the Best! The house is simply BEAUTIFUL! Thank you Plaza for an amazing vacation!

We loved our stay!! The food was great! The staff were always friendly. Our air went out in our room and they changed us to a different room it was not as nice as ours. We requested to move back when fixed. It was fixed the next day and we were back in the same great room! We stayed poolside 2nd floor. The view was as good as ocean view! We also were able to use snorkel gear when our mask broke! Highly recommend this facility!

Wait till the remodel is done. Food is very good for an all inclusive. We asked for extra pillows because the pillow we had were very flat and were told that we could not have more unless it was a medical condition. Beach service is very poor. The drink are made great. At meals the service was very poor to great not consistent. This resort has great potential when the remodel is done and with better services

The proeprty is very beautiful. It is still being refurbished so yes there is construction but it did not negatively impact our stay. The pool was great, the views were amazing. The shore snorkeling was excellent.

Everything was great. The food was excellent with healthy choices, drinks were good. I suggest they move the place you get your towels from reception to another one.

An excellent stay. Food was superb. Staff is wonderful. There is some construction going on but that's because they are improving the property. That work has to get done sometime so we dealt with it. It did not detract from a wonderful week.
