"Nous sommes aux portes de l’aéroport. Il y a une piscine, des serviettes disponibles. Un restaurant sur place et un service de déjeuner excellent! Un ascenseur pour les étages. Un local pour travailler et un coin internet. Un stationnement disponible et à l’écart de la rue même s’il y a de la place pour stationner partout autour. Une cantina tout près et un dépanneur aussi. Sérieux ? quand tu arrives ou que tu quittes Héraklion et que tu veux que ce soit parfait avant ou après ton séjour en Crète c’est un havre de repos. J’imagine aussi que ce serait extra aussi pour séjourner longtemps. Seul possible bémol pour certains les avions décollent juste à côté. C’est beau les voir tout illuminé de soir. Un grand merci à l’équipe du Sophia hôtel. J’ai adoré xx"

"We stayed in a junior suite. Overall the room was lovely and the view over the beach was the best part. As we were in a suite a sofa would have been nice but there was one chair. The staff at Expedia were very good and answered every query efficiently so will definitely be using Expedia again. Also the hotel staff were very polite. The food area were very clean and had a sufficient variety of options every day although there was always a shortage of spoons and cups. Everyone was constantly asking the staff for more of these. Beach towels, you had to pay 2€ to change which was a surprise. There was no bar after 9pm and there was only 2 sofas by the bar to sit after you had eaten. We probably won't stay at this hotel again but overall we had a nice stay."

"Smaller, older hotel which was just the right size for a relaxing break. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Some parts of the property were a little tired but this did not detract from the overall experience. Beach was lovely as was the large pool. Food was varied and of a high standard."
Abaton Island Resort & Spa

"We had a lovely week at the Abaton. All the staff were really friendly and helpful particularly when on departure I discovered I had left my straighteners in the room. The staff went above and beyond to locate them…which they did. We did half board which was really handy and the restaurants and food was amazing and in a beautiful setting. The hotel is in a great location and if you don’t fancy the pool there was plenty of beds on the beach. All in all a very restful week and the weather was gorgeous!"
Galaxy Hotel Iraklio

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel but had few occasions with the dinner staff when they were very rude with us. They would not let us sit in the dining area as they had prepared the table for next morning and we didn’t want to sit outside. Even before we started eating or drinking they would come and ask us how would you pay which made us very uncomfortable. At one occasion the staff came to our room at 10:30 and knocked when clearly there was a Do not disturb sign hung on the door"
