"We had a wonderful stay at Echor Tree Mandara Village. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, great location and kind staff. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious, and the restaurant was delicious. It also has a beautiful view of the mountains and Dharamshala. Highly recommended and will be staying again when back!"

"We, as a family, had wonderful experiences at this Hotel. Checkin was smooth. Food was awesome. View from the room were breathtaking, beautiful! It rained overnight very heavily and experienced a water leak in some areas, but Hotel staff was very prompt in responding to the situation. Checkout had a glitch with International credit cards, but managed with UPI payment options. One word of caution though, this place is not for the faint hearted people, its very stiff climb up the stairs to top...

"I was physically attacked by the manager of this hotel. He became very aggressive when I offered to pay with an international card but he only accepts cash or UPI. When I wanted to get cash for him, he refrained me from taking by bags in the car. When I tried to leave, he grabbed me at the throat and scratched my arm. When I left one bag behind to get cash, he locked up the driver and took his keys and phone. Sunny, the manager, is a dangerous man and I warn you to stay away from the hotel....

"Lovely budget hotel, tucked away in a quiet valley just outside the town. Clean enough, spacious, the staff were friendly and attentive all week. The breakfast and food were excellent. A little shop next door had decent supplies The price was reflected in bedding/towels that were absolutely fine but could do with a refresh. No midstay room clean so you sort yourself out. "5 Star Indian, but with some definite things to consider before booking. First they play Better Together by Jack Johnson across the hotel on auto-repeat. No gaps, no songs in between, you can guess the next song... Better Together... well except for at breakfast. There you will get a tight repeat of a Krishna Yoga Tune inside and Jack on the patio. The yoga music has no gaps and repeats the same phrases again and again until you want to scream. I'll get back to the subject of breakfast in a bit....
