Very disappointing stay

- Services provided by staff was very variable. The consistently exceptional staff were Morida & Nadia when they were at reception -No hand wash soap in bathrooms, expected to use shower gel from shower to wash your hands -Hot shower was very short. Wasn't enough for 2 people to have showers one after another - Breakfast food was very poor standard, mostly dry

The property is very nice and everyone was wonderful, but the next door business was a bit loud up to late at night. If you take ear plugs you will be fine. Overall I would stay again if back to Kupang.

Avoid this greedy hotel

We had an extremely poor experience staying at this hotel. We accidentally booked twice, and when we tried to contact the hotel via email to let them know and arrange a refund, we received no response. When we arrived we expected them to understand the mistake we’d made and reimburse us for the duplicate booking. But on arrival they outright refused to refund us. The hotel was pretty empty so it’s not like they would have lost out on another booking. The hotel itself wasn’t great - the food was poor, loud music all night and they charged you for playing pool. Unfortunately for Sotis, they don’t know that we own a dive shop in Alor, and many of our clients would normally use them for their overnight stay in Kupang before they fly to Alor. However we’ll be advising all clients to stay well clear and use a different hotel. If the hotel were to contact me to reimburse us for our stay I would reconsider but currently I’m extremely disappointed in the service I’ve received.

The Best in Kupang

Great almost stylish hotel, with fabulous seafront balconies, excellent pools, welcoming F&B outlets and helpful staff. Some Timorese style which is a plus. Beach side location but you would not want to swim.

De portiers en deskpersoneel zijn altijd bereid te helpen. Als je een taxi nodig hebt, bellen ze helaas geen taxi voor je maar sturen je met de hoteltaxi naar plaats van bestemming wat vele malen duurder is dan een normale taxi. Ook de kosten van de drankjes (cola is 10 keer duurder dan dezelfde flesje cola bij de supermarkt) bij de bar is te duur voor de ambiance die er is. Ik gun SOTIS hun winsten maar 10 keer duurder is voor een 4 sterren hotel wel erg veel. Het ontbijt duurt van 6 am tot 11 am en dat is geweldig. Ik ga altijd ontbijten om 8 am echter de warme gerechten bij het ontbijt is in de 3 weken dat ik er was ALTIJD KOUD. Dit is onvoorstelbaar voor een 4 sterren hotel. Bij de chef kok geklaagd in de eerste week maar dat is praten tegen een dummy want deze aardige man lachte alleen, maar deed NIETS aan mijn verzoek. In de 3 weken dat ik er was hebben ze mij smorgens welgeteld 4 keer gevraagd of ik koffie wenste bij mijn ontbijt! Het personeel in het restaurant graag wat beter opleiden zodat zij daar smorgens niet gaan staan als mode-poppen maar dat zij beseffen dat er gewerkt moet worden namelijk het bedienen van de gasten, in de trant van 'goedemorgen meneer/mevrouw zou u koffie of thee bij het ontbijt willen?'. Er was lekkage in de badkamer na 1 week verblijf maar pas aan het einde van de tweede week werd het verholpen. Ook was er geen kraanwater gedurende een halve dag in de tweede week van mijn verblijf. Op zich heb ik begrip maar info erover was belabberd.

Comfortably stopover hotel

We had a brief overnight stay in Kupang and found this a great choice. The staff were extremely friendly. Pool was nice, coffee was good. I asked for 2 rooms side by side and they made sure this happened which was my main concern.

Best hotel in over 2 months of travel

After travelling through Lombok, Sumbawa and Flores, we were looking for some nice creature comforts and Sotis was the answer. We went for the Premium ocean view room and the room and view are both gorgeous. The room is large, clean, all the amenities of 5 star hotel, large LED TV, AC worked great and the WiFi signal in the room was strong. The staff also were excellent; friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast had it all. You will be happy if you stay at Sotis.
