"Stayed 2.5 nights at the Element by Westin, Dar es Salaam, and overall had a very pleasant experience, with just a few minor hiccups. It was my first time in DAR, and although we were recommended other hotels, they were all fully booked. We opted for the Element, located in the vibrant Masaki area, and were glad we did. "This is a pretty nice local hotel.The staff is amazingly nice and helpful. I chose Nefaland because it is right across the street from the ABC Upper Class ticketing office. I use them when traveling to Iringa because I can board the bus directly at their office before they head out to the bus station on the limits of Dar es Salaam. So Staybg at Nefaland is great for that since the bus leaves at 5am. The only thing that I found disappointing was the lack of food availabilities on the menu. But...

"Loved my stay. I wasn't around during the day so I can't comment on the renovation noise but the pool wasn't busy and in a lovely spot. My room had the best view and the hotel staff was constantly checking in on how things were going and wanted to know if they could do anything to make my stay better. I would absolutely stay again!
