Hotel Granvia Kyoto
10/10 Excellent
"Our first time in Japan. The accommodation was superb. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was kept clean and necessary amenities were provided. The property is conveniently located close to the public transportation, attractions, and shopping area. Should we come back in Kyoto we will definitely stay at this hotel again."

sequence KYOTO GOJO
10/10 Excellent
"Convenient location, clean with simple, modern decor. Helpful staff. I did not have the full breakfasts but the one cappuccino I ordered was delicious. Thank you!"

Hotel Emion Kyoto
10/10 Excellent
"Family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids). We absolutely love this place and would definitely recommend it to others. The hotel is located in front of the train station and a bus stop, which provides easy access to transportation. There is also a 7-Eleven right next to the hotel. They also have several restaurants located on the 2nd floor if you don't want to go out for lunch or dinner, not to mention the large public bath that comes with a sauna room and big hot tubs. The amenities here are the best out of all the places we have stayed in Japan during our 16-day trip!"

Nohga Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto
10/10 Excellent
"This place is amazing. It truly made Kyoto that much better. Staff is extremely friendly, they will help with absolutely anything you need. We rented e-bikes every day while we were there which helped getting around town. If I ever come back to Kyoto, I will only be staying here."

Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo
8/10 Good
"Clean room and great dining room for families to hang around with free drinks and laundry room rite there. I would give 5 star if their breakfast should be served hot instead of cold salmon or eel. Bkfst same evry day with not much variety."

Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo
10/10 Excellent
"The place is very close to Kyoto Station which houses a massive mall, contains a lot of stores for shopping, floors with so many eating stalls and restaurants that you don’t have to go anywhere far from the hotel."

Onyado Nono Kyotoshichijo Natural Hot Springs
10/10 Excellent
"We had a memorable stay at this hotel. The onsen featured multiple baths such that it never felt crowded even at peak times, and we found the perks like free yakisoba noodles (read: instant noodles), ice cream bars, Yakult yogurt drinks, and self serve coffee options (including matcha lattes, etc which is rare) to be fun and value added. Our triple room had a lot of space and privacy; although ours was sadly on the louder side (mainly from emergency vehicles and motorcycles)as it was on the second floor right above the main entrance. The hotel requests guests to remove and store their shoes at the main entrance which I felt was an interesting and thoughtful concept, but I felt slightly grossed out by seeing a number of guests wander around in bare feet despite being provided socks to wear. Some minor downsides: We went in late May and the hotel was fully occupied, so we found the 4 or 5 massage chairs almost always occupied and the laundry machines being in high demand (compounded by other guests not removing their clothes when done), and a cramped vibe in the common spaces (other than the onsen as mentioned earlier). The hotel is also a bit farther away (5 min extra walking time) from Kyoto Station than some alternatives but I would still consider it to be convenient."
