"Amazing stay and amazing staff at Avondrood. Our room was fabulous and well appointed. The included breakfast was great, and it was nice to have a bar on site for an evening drink. Avondrood is well located in beautiful Franschhoek and an easy to walk to restaurants and shops. My wife and I walked in the evening to restaurants in town and felt safe walking back at night. The setting within the Winelands is spectacular and Avondrood was a great jumping off point to explore many estates and...

"From entering to when we left we could not fault this place. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, easy to chat with and really couldn't do enough for you. We felt like we were treated so well during our stay Our room was fantastic, right next to the pool, bathroom was lovely with a good powerful shower Pool are was great to cool down in from a warm day out wine tasting. "We loved our stay at La Villa Retreat! Everything from the way we were greeted with a wine tasting our first night, to the beautiful grounds, to our well appointed room, to the lovely breakfasts made it a great stay. One cool night we requested that the staff light the fire in our fireplace so it would be warm when we returned. Returning after dinner to a room lit by the fireplace was just delightful. If it wasn't so far away, we'd happily return often for a couple's getaway!"
