"Hotel was very nice. Room was clean, hallways etc. were clean. Disappointed the hot tub wasn't available. No mention of this when booking. Found the area under construction. Hotel restaurant wasn't very good. Limited menu (not much for vegans). Had onion soup, which was fine. Others had soup, salad as no other choices. Breakfast restaurant had some sort of a voucher deal where you ate for free but I knew nothing of this. Otherwise it was a buffet for $25.00. So we would go around the corner for coffee & tea as the in-room stuff was horrible. There is a Smith's Cafe near the Joan of Arc park in The Plains that was GREAT for coffee and outstanding croissants. Short walk to the Parliament building and from there you can wonder down into Old Quebec. We used the Unitour bus which has a stop at the hotel (#16) & another (stop 5) at the Joan Of Arc park with a short walk to/from hotel. Had the best fish & chips (and I'm from Boston) across the street at Le Grande CAfe Quebec. Meal was great, had the Burrata and tuna apps, fish and chips & the Vanilla cake w/cream & maple was outstanding (not sickening sweet). Such a treat. Very accommodating staff for a party w/o reservations. TIP: Best to make reservations for dinner otherwise you might have a hard time getting seated anywhere."
