"The check-in process took forever. We showed up at 3:30 PM and they told us the room would be ready in 15 minutes. There were several other people who showed up after us that were checked in before us. The cleaning crew was still cleaning rooms between 4 and 5 PM, blocking the hallway with their large cleaning carts. The lobby was very crowded and there were lots of moving parts happening all at once. There was no water or coffee in the lobby, as there had been when I stayed previously. The front desk staff was nice but did not seem to be communicating with each other very well. They did, however, read my notes in the system regarding a request for a first floor room near an exit since I had a service dog and honor that request. They explained that they always have the floor manager doublecheck each room individually before allowing guests to check in, which was why it took so long for check in.
-Once we checked in, the room was clean, had an ocean view, and had decent air conditioner. Toiletries were provided on the wall of the shower, which I love.
-The pool and hot tub were right on the beach, and it was nice to relax in the hot tub while we were waiting for our room to be ready. Beautiful ocean view with the 4th of July kites right next door to the hotel. Beautiful kite store as well. Easy walk to the Pier, with several fishing/viewing/patio options nearby."
