This place was truly incredible. I loved my stay here. About 15 min walk from the train station. The room was spacious, super clean and easy to communicate with the owners. The bathroom was big. Their food recommendations awesome and the place has so many great stores and restaurants close by

This is an amazing property located slap bang in the centre of La Spezia old town with restaurants, bars, cafés and independent shops on the doorstep. We had the duplex suite with a large lounge-diner area and bathroom downstairs, then a bedroom with massive bath tub and a further bathroom upstairs. The finish and cleanliness are exceptional with the room serviced daily. Despite the size of the apartment, there isn’t a kitchen but plenty of affordable places within a minutes walk. I think the only possible issue was the very steep stairs that might not be good for older guests or young children. All said, we’ll definitely be back again.

Overall, check-in was easy. The location was great. The room itself was nice if it weren't for the absolutely horrendous stench of sewage and the clogged sinks in the bathroom. The smell was horrific, it actually made me nauseous. The upstairs room was not as bad so we slept upstairs. We attempted to contact guest services but, they apparently only respond during the day not in the evening or early mornings. When they finally did respond to our message about the smell and the clogged sinks, they said the smell was because of the restaurant next door. They sent a maid to unclog the sink which only ended up causing the other sink to clog. The smell was still horrific and they were not helpful or apologetic in anyway. They offered no alternatives, no discount, nothing. And I can assure you, the smell wasn't fish from the restaurant next door. It wreaked of sewage smell. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you have zero sense of smell - and even then I'm not sure that is sanitary.

We stayed in the Presidential Duplex and I can say it is even more beautiful than the pictures. The suite is immaculate with 2 full bathrooms and ensuite bath tub, which is massive. The views are beautiful and all the restaurants surrounding the hotel are delicious (we tried them all in our 4 days in La Spezia). All communication with hotel staff was via Whatsapp with very quick and easy checkin and checkout, which ran very smoothly. About 15 minute walk from La Spezia Centrale train station - it is a great place to stay when visiting La Spezia/Cinque Terre region.

Palazzo Sant'Agostino by The First is an excellent location for exploring La Spezia and Cinque Terre. It was a 5 minute walk to the Ferry and 15 min to the train station. Lots of places to eat ( owner shared her favorite and it was great) shop and sight see just outside the door. The bed was so comfortable it was difficult to get out. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Had to ask for toilet paper and towels everyday. Never got enough towels for 4 people. House didn’t get cleaned, only trash taken out. Mother left an expensive item and I immediately notified the staff. To see if it can be sent back under my payment, and was told they never found it. LOL it was clear as day …. But okay. Very steep and dangerous stairs to upstairs. Pretty view. Pretty bones. No tv upstairs. Too far from train station. Not easy to walk in heat. Possibly found a bed bug. Everyone had bites and I Photographed a tiny red bug in our sheets.

I booked two rooms here. The rooms were listed as “double or twin” which generally means that the beds could be separated, which I specifically requested. They were not separable so two members of our group had to find a room in a different hotel. The staff member I communicated with would not allow a refund for the room that we did not use and was pretty rude about it. There were also some amenities in the listing that were not actual features of the property/rooms. Lastly, the door handle on the door between the rooms and the hallway/stairs kept falling out which created a safety concern.

Wir hatten für uns und unseren 2 Kindern das Presidential-Maisonette Zimmer gebucht. Leider war das Zimmer um 15:00 Uhr immer noch nicht fertig gereinigt. Als wir nach 15:00 Uhr wieder kamen, waren auch schon Handwerker da, da im oberen Zimmer es Probleme mit dem Boden gab. Der Boden im oberen Zimmer waren komplett durchnässt und es herrschte im gesamten oberen Bereich (Schlafzimmer und Bad) eine enorm hohe Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit. Die Handwerker sagten uns, dass ein Ventil des Kühlbodens verstopft sei, sie jedoch das Problem behoben haben. Daraufhin informierten wir das Hotel und es kam nur eine kurze Entschuldigung. Bis Abend sollte wieder eine normale Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit im Raum sein. Dies war jedoch nicht der Fall. Am Abend war der Boden noch durchnässter und es roch modrig. Wir haben die ganze Nacht kein Auge zubekommen, da es sehr heiß in dem Raum (Dachgeschoss) war und die Luftfeuchtigkeit enorm hoch. Wir waren regelrecht durchnässt. Am kommenden Morgen informierten wir erneut das Hotel. Diese boten uns an, uns in ein anderes Hotel von ihnen nach Riomaggiore zu verlegen. Notgedrungen mussten wir dies tun, da sie uns nicht die Kosten erstatten wollten und kein anderes Zimmer in La Spezia frei war.

Good location and nice room. However there was a major issue with the cooling system that caused humidity and even water on many parts of the floor. Was obviously known to the establishment but did not warn us and just were told that it would be looked after on the next day, which was of no use for us because we were leaving the following day. Even though we were on a third floor with closed windows, noise from the street was annoying. All in all a nice room that should not be offered in any case to guests until the water :humidity issue is solved.

La habitación era muy bonita y estaba todo muy limpio. Se encuentra a unos 15 minutos caminando desde la estación pero el camino es agradable, está rodeada de tiendas. Llegas y te vas por tu cuenta, lo único que no nos agradó fue que solicitamos que no nos dieran servicio de limpieza pues dejamos cosas importantes dentro y aún así entraron. De ahí en fuera todo estuvo bien, es agradable para pasar la noche
