"We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The highlight was definitely the sea – the water was breathtaking, crystal-clear, and the most beautiful shade of turquoise. "From the moment we arrived at Salt of Palmar, we were immersed in an atmosphere of understated luxury and genuine Mauritian hospitality. The hotel is a true sanctuary, with elegant design, beautifully landscaped surroundings, and breathtaking views of the turquoise lagoon that create an unforgettable setting. What truly sets this property apart is its exceptional service. Every member of the team was gracious, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring our stay was flawless. Their warmth, professionalism, and thoughtful attention to every detail made us feel valued and effortlessly cared for throughout our visit. The surroundings are simply spectacular. The tranquil beachfront, lush tropical gardens, and sophisticated yet intimate ambiance make it the perfect destination for relaxation and indulgence. Every space has been carefully curated to offer comfort, serenity, and a sense of refined luxury. A special thank you to Dheeraj, whose kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made our stay even more memorable. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the entire team—although I regret I cannot recall everyone's names, each member of staff contributed to making our experience truly exceptional. Salt of Palmar exceeded our expectations in every way. It is a destination where impeccable service, exquisite surroundings, and authentic hospitality come together to create a truly extraordinary experience. We leave with wonderful memories and cannot wait to return."

"The room was as advertised; a good size, comfortable and with a great sea view. The bathroom was a little tired. We had booked room only and paid for a continental breakfast on 2 days. The selection was adequate. Bar snacks, lunch and dinner menus had a good selection. Our room was steps from the beach. There were plenty of beach chairs and lounges and the area was well maintained daily. A great cafe and several restaurants are within walking distance. Free parking was available across the road. Every staff member we engaged with were professional and very friendly. We understand that the property will be undergoing a major renovation / rebuild in the near future which should upgrade the standard of the bathrooms and the guest amenities. We hope the one thing that doesn't change is the staff. Across all the services they were exceptional, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and enhance our stay."

Seasense Boutique Hotel & Spa

"We enjoyed our week-long stay at Seasense and would give it a 4.5 score if we could. This small 63-room adult-only boutique hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are well appointed. Service is friendly and attentive, but can be slow at mealtimes. The exclusive beach is quite small and shallow but fine for a splash or a snorkel. The pretty à la carte restaurant is right by the sea, and there was no shortage of loungers, including with shade. The small pool is heated and lovely for a quick dip. The modest spa and sauna is a nice touch. Two issues however. First, noise from the road: the hotel is sandwiched on a small strip or land between the main coast road and the sea. More importantly, we found the food quite variable: occasionally excellent, always presented beautifully, but often bland and under-seasoned and cold. A shame given the reputation of Mauritian cuisine. Also, half the menu items (and nearly all the fish options) are subject to hefty supplements. The buffet night (combined with a free cocktail party for guests) was however enjoyable."

"the hotel is quiet place and very clean, bedroom as done regularly and clean.breakfast is same thing everyday but tends to get busy during weekends. If you renting a car you might not get parking inside during week end unless its included in your hotel reservation fees. bathroom in comfort room was excellent just the screen on the bathroom doors need a retouch and also there need more modern Usb plug ins. small beach but blue bay beach is few feet away .Is just very nice location. "

"So I’ll start with the positives. Staff was friendly, room was clean and pool was nice and breakfast was nice to start the day. My room did have a rather warm pleasant smell for most of the stay and I was below the rooftop and the music played ALL night so base could be heard through then ceiling. Overall the stay was fine. Rooms were nicer in photos and there is not much around the hotel but the little beach is pretty and a nice little restaurant next door. "
