"The room was large with a walkout balcony. The bed was big and comfy. TV & kettle handy. Nice powerful shower too. Very quiet room too couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very quick check in and check out. Car park had plenty of space and was free."

"The building is impressive with its great lobby (of perhaps faded art deco glamour) of another era. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not modern and fancy, but clean and functional. Room was very comfortable. Kiel is spread out and the hotel is a bit far to walk with luggage, as I discovered, but a straight shot to train station and downtown. The terrace in front of lobby was a nice place to sit to enjoy the breezes and chill (it's Kiel!), at least until smokers claim it as their own. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast excellent: I highly recommend the breakfast, on its merits, but especially since there are few restaurants nearby."
