"This was a wonderful place to stay and visit the Great Barrier Reef. The hotel is perfectly located, with a 5 minute walk to the marina where all the tours begin for the Great Barrier Reef. The staff were so friendly and helpful in the most wonderful way, and a special thank you to Jacob. The restaurants and their staff were so kind, and the food ever so generous and delicious. "Very close to reef terminal for tours. I loved the fact that towels were available as well as a free laundry facility. Staff is often not at the desk but they are often watching CCTV that covers the front desk and come when needed. It is very clean, towels are nice, location is close to many restaurants. They are well organized and check in went well. The rooms are serviced every other day routinely. They did forget my bath towels after service but this was minor in my opinion as you can get...

"This was our 9th trip to Cairns and the first time staying at the Cairns Plaza Hotel, which is by far out favourite place to stay now. It is located in a quieter end of the esplanade which we really enjoyed but still well within walking distance of downtown Cairns. The hotel was very clean, staff were exceptionally helpful, and the room was comfortable and very spacious. "
"The retro room was so beautiful, especially as we had an ocean view and could have the windows open to hear the ocean and feel the breeze. We were also treated to the acoustic music rambling up the stairwell into our room from the restaurant below. All in all a romantic stay with wonderful staff, food and a very comfortable bed"

"Clean, family-friendly, great pool and spa for big and little kids with a nice table tennis. Beautiful scenic waterview from the balcony of the waterfront esplanade and palm trees. Buffet breakfast was great with variety, very friendly staff, especially Lynn, who always greeted us with a smile each morning. Fantastic stay."

"It’s in a great location right in the heart of the city entertainment area. The room was absolutely stunning and the staff were great. The only slight negative is that we were on level 4 and the rooftop bar was quite loud until after 10pm and then the set up for breakfast (assumption) started about 5.30am."

"Such an amazing location in Cairns. Rooms were nice and clean. Pool was great. Only complaint, and even then it didn’t affect our stay at all, was the restaurant played loud music a couple nights. But I would stay here again. "
