"We had a wonderful experience staying at the Black Lantern Inn. The Inn is location on the main street, and very easy to find. We didn't get to the property until 1:00 AM, and the property were decorated with Christmas lighting, which made it cozy and super easier find the place, especially when it was so dark out. There's a small parking lot between the two buildings, and our room was in the Burdette House. The buildings are vintage, but the room has all the towels and basic shampoos, and shower gel. "DO NOT STAY HERE——What should have been a relaxing stay turned into an infuriating and exhausting ordeal due to gross negligence and unprofessional conduct by the property management company overseeing this privately owned condo.
On my second day I left briefly for breakfast and after I returned I was shocked to discover that the door code to my condo did not work, leaving me locked out of the property. I called the property management office multiple times before anyone answered. When I finally did get through, I was placed on hold for over 50 minutes before anyone offered assistance. Being stranded outside the property that I paid for is completely unacceptable.
Also the shower-head broke off, rendering one of the bathrooms unusable.
I was happy to pay the nightly rate but I requested a refund of the property management fee, given that the services it supposedly covered—responsiveness, maintenance, and reliable access—were nonexistent. My request was denied, and instead I was offered a $250 voucher, which is entirely insufficient and frankly insulting given the circumstances.
What I received was hours of inconvenience, unresponsiveness, and unacceptable conditions. I would NOT recommend this property as long as it’s being managed by Eurorentals. "
