"My stupid reservation person booked the wrong date. I kept telling her,but I don’t think she understood. I would like a refund. Thank you"

"The only thing that was ok were the hot ,decent shower & the bed was clean.No hand towel, no TP, no soap.I had to go buy my own. First thing I noticed was the stale cigarette odor and the smeared dirty looking mirror over the sink. The sink clogged every time I ran the water. The toilet at the bottom one side was disgustingly dirty, top of the fridge, vent hood and the coffee pot was covered in dust . No way would I use that coffee pot. The freezer had old ice laying on the bottom with food...

"The woman at the front desk was possibly clinically insane. My room was not cleaned properly. There was hair everywhere and grease all over the kitchen. The keys to both the building and the room were not working properly. I was unable to stay because of the filth. I was assured I would be refunded and I was not."

"We booked this motel mainly because we have kids and they wanted to swim in the pool. The pool was not filled up and when we asked about it the staff said they didn't know when it would be filled up. Was a real bummer for my kids. Probably won't be back there or recommend"

"This way the utmost worst excuse for a hotel. Wyndum and Travel Lodge should be ashamed to have this place associated with their name. This place is a SCAM and I plan to report it to the State of Ohio and Ohio Licensing Board. The place is NOTHING like it appears on online and is unacceptable. We were not given the room we were promised or anything remotely like it. I have sought legal representation and plan to take action to get my money back. We were not able to stay the 4 nights."

"We arrived to find the property under renovation. Our room was one in a wing of rooms in original condition. The carpet was torn and stained, not clear the sheets were clean, no towels, the towel rack was hanging off the wall as was the tissue holder, no glasses or cups, there was an extra (dented) refrigerator in the room. It would probably have failed any health or accommodation codes."

"There was a washcloth left hanging in the shower when we arrived, the shower curtain was yellow and smelled of urine. The fire alarm was hanging by wires from the wall and not working. The top lock on the inside of the door was broken off and useless. Thankfully we only needed the room for 7 hours, it was scary.."

"Great historical stay!!! Amazing history of the mansion!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Cleanest rooms ever!!! Wonderful front porch with rocking chairs!!! Highly recommend a stay at Steele Mansion!!!"

"Attention to detail in every category! The staff went beyond helpful, we got in late and they made us a delish pizza flatbread after hours. The bar seems to stay open as long as needed which is a real plus. The breakfast changed daily and was always good with a large selection. If I am ever in that area again, this is the place I will stay! Thanks to the staff!"

"Arrived to check in and they were closed due to power outage, which I understand but no one contacted me before I drove 2 hours."
