"We did not eat breakfast there, as we were visiting family and had breakfast with them. But we did make use of the coffee maker there, and it was the best hotel coffee we have had."

"Clean room, spacious "

"Staff was very friendly. Room was bright and decorated nicely, though small as is to be expected at a historic hotel. It was very expensive when we were there, and I don't think worth the price. It appears to be a grand historic hotel, but there's no lobby to appreciate this -- only the dining room. There's no big historic lobby area, just a normal check-in desk. It is really the only place to stay if you want to be in downtown Lakeland, which is nice. We did enjoy walking around the small town....

"Not enough towels, towels were dirty and smelled odd. Bed sheets were dirty. After calling the front desk, I was told no extra towels and if i wanted new clean ones to bring her the dirty ones. No extra pillows, no extra blanket. Staff wanted to argue. Parking lot had loud people drinking and partying. Terrible hotel."

"The property is dated and could use refurbishment and it's underway. Mostly it needs to be brightened up by repainting and the carpet removed and or replaced. However, everything was clean including bedding, floors and furnishings. It was an older Ramada Inn with their older dark colors. My wife and I never felt uncomfortable and would/will stay there in the future. It's location is in an area of low income spread. We read all previous ratings before going there. "I had an absolutely horrible experience here. So bad that even though I had a room booked through the weekend, I left at 5am on my first night. I wish I could’ve left sooner. My room was awful. The floors were disgusting, the shower had black mold in the tub, the shower curtain had many stains including blood, the toilet wasn’t clean, nor was the one towel I was given. The bed was horrible too. The blankets had holes in them like someone put out their cigarettes in them. The mattress was also...

"Some of these five star reviews must be bots. Wasn’t expecting a 5 star property, but no matter the budget, cleanliness should be priority. Upon check in, the sheets were dirty, the fridge in the kitchen was black with mold, and there were roaches IN the room. If the hotel cannot manage the cleanliness of the kitchenette and is now harboring roach infestation, then they need to do something about that design. It’s a health issue. Absolutely appalling. "
