Lake Lure is a nice little getaway, and the 1927 Lake Lure Inn is a great place to stay. We stayed in the motor lodge part and, while the room was very basic and had a small bathroom, it was still spacious with a comfy bed. We paid $10 extra to get a refrigerator and microwave, it was delivered promptly by a friendly gentleman. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
The continental breakfast was a little lacking, as it appeared they were running short, since it seemed the offering got shorter each day of our trip.
The lobby had a very historic feel, with vintage furniture and pictures of Presidents and other important dignitaries who have stayed there giving it a very elegant feel.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Lake Lure is a nice little getaway place, and the 1927 Lake Lure Inn is a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet.
